This is not really on our subject material, but it struck such a sympathetic chord in me that I decided to publish it here for you. You may not have any idea who Mary Wilson is -- to be honest, I didn’t remember either, until I heard her sing. Most people, even those “too young to remember,” know who the Supremes were and probably also know what an impact they had on the music world of their day. Most people will also recall that Diana Ross was the lead singer of the Supremes. They most likely do NOT recall that Mary Wilson was one of the other two singers. Today, Mary Wilson is involved in the Humpty Dumpty Institute, which is concerned with the efforts to stop the use of land mines around the world, and Mary is their spokeswoman. And also, their lead singer :) .
