I suppose you’re wondering where the name of this blog comes from. I have a site, together with my partner Sue, called Green Home MegaStore, at http://greenhomemegastore.com. There, we invented – and will continue to develop here – the concept of “practical greenology”. Below is a quote from our website:

Our definition of “practical greenology” is

“Practical greenology” is the use in the home by individuals and families of available information, practices, and equipment resulting from the enlightenment of individuals, corporations, and governments concerned with being carbon neutral, environmentally friendly, resource renewable, earth conscious, cleaner, greener, sustainable, and efficient.

What “practical greenology” means is plain English is that we believe in using the best green practices and products in our homes, consistent with the limitations and considerations of everyday life. In short – green and affordable!
